Description
Extreme cliffs, singing birds and immersive caves
We leave Tórshavn and head northwest for Vestmanna, from where the Vestmanna Bird Cliffs Boat Tour departs. On the way we will see Leynar and the hand-built salmon ladder, and a rare Faroese beach, furthermore we will explore the viking remains in Kvívík.
Afterwards we set sail from the harbour of Vestmanna, from where the boat sails towards Vestmannabjørgini, and the caves on the northern side of streymoy. If the weather allows it, we sail through the narrow straits into deep caves. We observe the more than 600 meter high cliff walls where thousands of seabirds are breeding, and yes, even puffins!
